ATTENTION CLUB MEMBERS:
North Atlanta RPC Schedule of events and notes:
1. 2012 bands are available on January 1st for those who need them before our Club Meeting on January 14.
2. Club bands will be distributed during our regular club meeting at 10 AM on January 14 at the club. Anyone who needs them before the club meeting, but not until after December 31, must contact me personally to arrange pick up of the bands.
3. According to club rules, no bands will be distributed to any member unless 2012 member dues are paid in full.
4. If you need your bands before the meeting, contact treasurer George Petra to arrange payment of annual dues first, before arranging to pick up your bands from Secretary Bob Tavares.
5. Our Annual Awards Banquet will be held on Wednesday evening, January 25th, at Tony Rosa's pizza parlor, starting at 6:30 PM. Ruthie is printing diplomas, and has sent out our club results to the AU Database for member award consideration, the Mate is ordering trophies for our race winners, etc., to be presented at the awards ceremony.
6. Our Show/Auction will be held on Saturday, January 21st, at our club. Here on our website: northatlantarpc.com you will find the Show Rules and information, the Show Protocol, and the Show Entry Sheets. Please print each for yourself for your entries, and forward this information to any friends or fanciers you know who may want to join us for the event. We are providing FREE FOOD AND A LOT OF FUN! Spread the word to everyone who likes to "talk pigeons".
7. If you would like to donate a pigeon, a PLEDGE of a pair of 2012 youngsters, or any loft items for our club auction, to be held during our SHOW/AUCTION, we would really appreciate your donation. Please let the Mate or Bob know if you intend to donate a bird, or whatever, for the auction so we can know what to expect.
8. The bird and item auction is our way of offsetting our food expenses for the event.
9. We are still hoping that each one of our members is thinking about joining one of our committees for the DIXIE CONVENTION AND RACE. If you have not done so yet, please be prepared to sign up for a committee during our next club meeting on January 18th.
10. Please be in touch with Frano concerning your bird reservations for the DIXIE. He is working hard to keep the website HANDLER info up to date, and we must start communicating right from the beginning so Breeder/Handler info is kept up to date and accurate on our website.

AN OPEN INVITATION TO ALL!! COME ONE, COME ALL!!
OUR SHOW IS PRIMARILY A FUN- RAISER, yes, FUN RAISER!!!. JOIN US FOR A FUN-FILLED, FRIENDLY COMPETITION THROUGH THE JUDGING CAGE!!!
This SHOW is a wonderful chance for pigeon fanciers to come together, to watch experts judge our birds, to have drink and food and to enjoy CAMARADERIE!
By now, you have noticed that our club regularly offers FREE FOOD, and refreshments. In order to offset this expense, we are auctioning a small group of pigeons so that the events we offer to the fancy do not hurt our treasury.
We are featuring some birds donated by club members! Since we are hosting the this year's 2012 DIXIE CONVENTION AND RACE, our members have a SURPLUS OF BREEDERS that we cannot breed due to AN EXPECTED LARGE NUMBER of incoming DIXIE RACE ENTRIES.
This is the way we do things for the benefit of our club.
It is not our intention to slight any other group! The functions we have at our club are designed to expand the entertainment boundaries of the pigeon game in our area. We honor any other group's option to hold an event, but we saw January as being empty of any other local club events.
When race season ends, we still have to feed and care for our pigeons; there should also be additional ways to enjoy them. Last year's show proved this!!
Our SHOW is a way to pass the vacuum of another dull January. COME JOIN US FOR A GREAT TIME!!!
Please check forms below to view, download or print; the SHOW PROTOCOL, ENTRY SHEET, and GENERAL INFORMATION regarding our SHOW.
We look forward to seeing you. Please join us to compete IN THE SHOW CAGE, and enjoy talking pigeons on January 21, 2012.
Come watch the great Alvin Petty pick out the best performance birds, in 16 classes. Trophies and ribbons to be awarded.
Come watch eye-sign man, Adil Hrnic, grading the breeders in 7 classes. Bring your best pigeons and see how they measure up!!!!

The officers of our club congratulate and commend each and every one of you who participated! Your time and efforts helped make this event run smoothly and successfully!
I will not mention many names as I am afraid to omit someone, but it ranges from Fred and Tony going all the way to Savannah for the birds, to Katy Fink hosting the registration table, and Larry Foster parking cars. Everything was perfect!!!
Every one did a marvelous job, and all of your names will be mentioned in time, as I am writing an article summary of our terrific day at our club today. Frano and Victoriano took some great pictures which will be used in our publicity.

We are planning a SHOW/AUCTION for January. DETAILS WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON. Alvin Petty will judge racing class pigeons, and Adil Hrnic will provide our special feature, judging the eye-sign classes.
